Mikael Blomkvist is a financial journalist who happened to lose a case in which he is accused of libel against the financier Wennerstrom.
Blomkvist decides to resign as editor of the journal Millennium and is proposed to deal exclusively with a history dating back 36 years before: the mysterious disappearance of Harriet Vanger, nephew and pupil dell'ottantenne Henrik Vanger, a magnate of the time 'Swedish industry. Mikael accepts and moves in Gävleborg.
Lisbeth Salander to experience doing research, but also a hacker who works on commission, you do not know il suo passato ma si capisce che non può disporre dei suoi averi, anzi ha un tutore molto sadico.
Mikael e Lisbeth si ritrovano insieme ad indagare sulla scomparsa di Harriet e sui segreti della famiglia Vanger.
Non ho letto il libro, non seguirò gli altri episodi della trilogia, ma questo primo film è secondo me parecchio sopravvalutato.
